The Brands to Know for SS18

It’s finally time for SS18, a season that, for quite some time, we’ve felt is really suited perfectly to us (basically, since we saw the shows). We 1000% (yes, one thousand) feel bold checks, sweet pastels, clashing colour, silver hues and clean, fun details are a slice of MyBag’s soul incarnate. So now as we very slightly begin to edge in to Spring, we talk the brands to know at MyBag for SS18.

PINKO

Iconic in contemporary fashion and accessories brand imbued with a distinct Italian spirit and heritage, PINKO joins us for SS18 at MyBag. Founded in the early 1980s, PINKO drew its inspiration from traditional Italian style and craftsmanship to create luxury designer handbags from the finest Italian leathers. With a foundation of meticulous research and after sourcing the highest quality Italian handcrafted leathers, PINKO blossomed into one of Europe’s most sought-after handbag and accessories brands, advocated by campaigns with the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Naomi Campbell, Elle MacPherson, Carmen Kass, Eva Herzigova, Terry Richardson and Steven Klein (to name a few). Still reigning as the ultimate accessories brand for the determined, playful, modern female with an eye for luxury, we’re embracing PINKO opened arm as we step in to Spring.

Wicker Wings

New to MyBag for SS18, Wicker Wings is a Northern born fusion of modern luxury and Chinese heritage. When brother and sister Belinda and James Yu discovered their grandmother grew up making a living from hand weaving baskets, the pair were so inspired they harnessed this as their brand ethos. Prioritising quality, craftsmanship and detail, each Wicker Wings bag is handmade from naturally grown rattan and environmentally friendly Italian vegetable tanned leather.

Alongside the full SS18 collection, we are excited to announce the baby pink suede exclusive MyBag colourway, one which we have our hearts set firmly upon.

Launched in 1984, Marc Jacobs has swiftly become one of the most coveted and well-respective brands in fashion history. With his iconic tongue-in-cheek design alongside high-quality materials and beautifully-crafted accessories his staple double J logo is every blogger’s dream. After the success of the adorable snapshot camera bag collection, one our favourite MyBag brands is back for another season, pioneering the millions of ways to wear everything from a matching wallet and clutch to a tiny cross body with ultimate style and sass.

Furla

Bringing Italian chic to the everyday, Furla has been creating luxury handbags and accessories since the early 1930’s, so we its safe to say you’re in good hands. Founded by the Furlanetta family, the brand has made its name through injecting a slice of La Dolce Vita to any look. Using supple leather, classic silhouettes and a vibrant colour palette, Furla are back for another season filled with fun-loving accessorising for the expressionist in us all.

Vivienne Westwood

Back for another iconic season, Vivienne Westwood firmly stands her ground in trend inspired yet quirky style with her splinter success accessories line. The SS18 collection is no exception: taking classic Vivienne Westwood stylistic elements, exaggerated shapes, embossed orb patterns and bold colourways. From delicate yet bold jewellery to iconic handbags in all shapes and sizes (literally), Westwood still brings the most awesome designer accessory for every trendsetter.

Cluse

New to MyBag for SS18, Cluse is one of the most talked about watch brands on the market right now, with Instagram as its number one wing-woman. Making its debut on the wrists of bloggers worldwide, including recent collaboration social media queen Negin Mirsalehi, the brand now dominates the world of chic wrist wear. With its slogan surrounding simplicity, the brand denounces how a clean look defines plain style, and proves that everyday wear is truly underpinned by those quality minimal jewellery staples.

Cornelia Webb

Another iconic, innovative new brand launching for SS18 at MyBag is Stockholm-based designer Cornelia Webb is a self-taught designer with a self-proclaimed “vogue fascination of anatomy”. A former medical student, in 2005 she launched her collection with a refreshingly innovative yet simplistic interpretation of how jewellery dresses human form, famously drawing straight on to her body when creating her raw yet delicate designs.

Made with recycled metals and self-sourced pearls and stones, she uses jewellery to emphasise craftsmanship and environmental awareness. The collection carves out the definition of luxury through refined craft and inspiration from natural surroundings, all plated with sterling silver and gold for lasting effect.
